AccuRanker Alternative: Daily Rank Tracking, Pay Once
· 4 min read
AccuRanker is a dedicated rank tracker built for agencies and larger in-house teams. Its entry plan, Professional, costs $249 a month for 2,000 keywords ($224 a month billed yearly), as of October 2026. The next steps are 3,000 keywords for $369 and 5,000 for $609 a month. If you track a few hundred keywords for your own sites or a handful of clients, you pay for a quota you don't use.
Altitude is a rank tracker for the Mac. You buy the license once, and it checks your keywords on Google every day through DataforSEO, paying DataforSEO's own price: about $0.0006 per check of the top 10 results. Tracking 2,000 keywords daily at top-20 depth comes to about $72 a month in data; 500 keywords, about $18.

What the same keywords cost in Altitude
DataforSEO bills each check by pages of 10 results, so depth drives the price. At the standard-queue price of $0.0006 per page, checked every day (30 checks a month):
| Keywords | Top 10 | Top 20 | Top 100 |
|---|---|---|---|
| 500 | $9/mo | $18/mo | $90/mo |
| 2,000 | $36/mo | $72/mo | $360/mo |
| 5,000 | $90/mo | $180/mo | $900/mo |
Checking on weekdays only cuts these by about a quarter; weekly checks, by more than three quarters. If you'd rather not open a DataforSEO account (its minimum top-up is $50), Altitude also sells a prepaid balance that charges DataforSEO's cost plus a margin.
Look at the right-hand column before deciding. If you need thousands of keywords at top-100 depth every day, AccuRanker's flat price can come out cheaper than paying per check. Most people only need to know whether they're on page one or two, and at top-20 depth Altitude's data cost stays well below the subscription.
When AccuRanker is the better choice
- You manage tens of thousands of keywords for an agency. AccuRanker is built for that volume, with tagging, dynamic tags on Expert, and BigQuery and unlimited users and domains on Enterprise.
- Your team and clients need a web login. Altitude is a Mac app. It shares results as PDF reports and CSV files, not as a hosted dashboard.
- You report in Looker Studio or pull data through an API. AccuRanker's Expert plan includes both; Altitude doesn't offer either.
- You want refreshes every couple of hours. AccuRanker lets you refresh a keyword or a whole domain every two hours. In Altitude, Check Now updates any keyword or project whenever you want, and each check costs the same $0.0006 per page.
When Altitude is the better choice
- You track hundreds of keywords, not thousands. You pay the data provider for the checks you run, with no 2,000-keyword minimum.
- You want AI search in the same place. For every Google keyword, Altitude records whether an AI Overview appears, whether it cites you and which domains it cites instead. AI Mode and your own ChatGPT prompts are tracked in the same app, without a second subscription.
- You track more than Google's organic results. Each project can add Bing, Google Maps (with a 3 × 3 to 7 × 7 local grid), YouTube and AI Mode as extra markets.
- You work on a Mac and like native apps. Widgets, a menu bar extra and keyboard shortcuts, and your data stays on your Mac.

Moving from AccuRanker
- Export your keywords from AccuRanker as CSV.
- In Altitude, create a project with your domain, country or city, language and device, then choose Import CSV… in Add Keywords. Altitude reads AccuRanker's columns and brings the tags, target pages and search volume along. Before you save, it shows how many result pages a month your schedule will use.
- Connect Search Console to see clicks and impressions next to positions.
Your AccuRanker ranking history doesn't come across, so keep an export if you need last year's numbers. You can run both for a month and compare. You can try Altitude free with one project and two keywords; the license is a one-time purchase. For a side-by-side look at other subscription trackers, see Altitude vs. Semrush.
